Our Staff

Our Mission

BPACC has been a home away from home for many children and families since 1993. The RECEs (Registered Early Childhood Educators) have been at the Centre for many years and have become an extended family to one another. Together, they provide a warm and caring place for the children and families.

The RECEs all hold a valid Diploma from a recognized college and are all registered in the College of ECEs. All staff hold a valid Standard First Aid certificate with Infant and Child CPR and attend professional development workshops regularly. Both RECEs and ECAs strive to ensure that they are able to provide children a high quality program that meets or exceeds expectations from the City of Toronto’s Early Learning and Care Assessment for Quality Improvement (AQI). All staff are trained to program a curriculum based on children’s interests and the Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT).

While all educators are different, each of them bring in a unique quality that help compliment the centre’s program. Their different methods and approach in teaching, provides different ways for children to explore their world around them. They understand that all children learn in different ways and educators adjust learning opportunities to suit the needs and development of children. BPACC staff encourage self-help skills and independence and celebrate each child’s individuality.
